My littlest man is due in about 3-4 weeks. I went to the doctor today as I am starting weekly visits. I had to have my Group B Strep test done today (fun stuff!) so they went ahead and checked me and, drumroll please . . .
I am 2 centimeters dialated and 50% effaced. Well, as some of you know, you can be dialated for several weeks before you deliver so I am not getting my hopes up.
Also, funny story, I have a friend from church who hasn’t had children yet. We were talking about being dialated and she asked us if anyone ever got to 12 (12 cenitmeters instead of 10). We had to laugh and she said she was going to try to get to 12. If anyone could do it she could – she’s an engineer, a runner and all around very disciplined, very competitive person.

That’s funny about your friend. I ran around, okay maybe I didn’t run around, 4 cm dilated for about 2 months. LOL. It’s nice having a head start. I hope your delivery goes well.
Hugs.

Kelly,
Hey I didn’t name names! No one would have ever known it was you except for my very accurate description.

How exciting! Here’s hoping that you won’t be at 2 for long. I sat down last night to write a letter to T and told her that I know she’s got to be getting so excited for her new grandson!

I recommend natural childbirth if you’re going to 10…if you go to 12, go for the epidural!:)
