mpm3

I know everyone is planning to do all this cute stuff with their kids this week (I am sure) but I don’t have any big plans.  I do plan to color eggs, but at my Dad and T’s house and not at my own.  I am not planning to make a big Easter dinner but again going to my Dad and T’s house.  I am bringing our favorite rolls.  Everyone seems to love them so that will be my contribution.

I have been reading the story of Jesus with the kids so they know that Easter is not really about a bunny and candy although I will still get them Easter baskets.  I have very good memories of Easter baskets, but I also knew the true meaning of Easter.

I am hoping to do Resurrection Eggs with my little preschool class on Wednesday night at church.  It should be interesting.

Onto the menu, as you are very well aware I am still using my freezer meals from this last OAMC session.  So I will be doing a little extra baking this week.

Here is my menu:

Week 3:

Meatloaf, black-eyed peas and green beans

Grilled jerk chicken and broccoli

Chicken enchiladas and corn

Emporer’s chicken and rice

Leftovers, homemade pizza or eat out

Honey glazed chicken on the grill and grilled veggies

So this leaves a little bit of extra time for baking and I am going to try to keep it to just two things this week (ya right).

Please go here and see these delicious donuts.  I must make them.  They are calling to me.  Also, we have a little fryer that I purchased a few weeks ago (my husband LOVES homemade fries) and I am going to use that for these homemade donuts.

I am also going to be trying my hand at sourdough since my friend was kind enough to give me a starter (a starter that apparently has its own name – Sanford II).

And I have to make these twice baked potatoes for my freezer cooking club this week.   We may just have to eat our portion this week instead of freezing them.

Coming up this week:

Tuesday I hope to share my favorite (and super easy) cheeseball recipe and a new recipe I just tried involving homemade crescent rolls, cream cheese and bacon.

If you would like to come back to visit on Wednesday, I will be sharing what I am doing as far as chore training with my son.  I will also show pictures of his chore chart and share a little of how “blanket time” is going with my little girl.

Thursday I will be doing my weekly series on “Learning the Word” but also adding some memorization tools and what I am working on with my son as far as Bible memorization.
